Margherita, a young architect, decides to call off her engagement to Gianni, a rich and attractive industrialist, on the eve of her wedding and decides to go off on a trip with her assistant.
During her travels she meets Gaetano, a young lawyer who receives a warm welcome at her house. Whilst there, he is confronted by the photographs of two men whom Margherita loves equally. Several days later, Gianni arrives and is affectionately welcomed, as is another ex-fiancé, Mario, when he returns from a trip to Kenya. In this way a harem with a difference develops.
All of the members of the harem get along well with each other until Margherita announces her intention of going away because she has fallen in love with a man she has met on the beach. |
