| Set in Greece during the medieval age, this film tells of a tribe of beautiful female Amazons who have just crowned a new queen. She informs her subjects that it is time for the annual mating with a group of soldiers from Athens. Each year, men are hired by the Amazons for reproduction purposes. The new queen decides she also will subject herself to this yearly duty. She tries hard to keep from enjoying it, but eventually falls for a charismatic participant. One night she follows him away from the Amazon village and finds him with another woman. Enraged, she returns to her lesbian lover and instructs her subjects to kill the soldiers on the next night. Unable to murder the man she loves, he kidnaps her causing a full scale war between the Amazons and the soldiers. |
