It is the year 1941, and Bae-Dal is a student in Korea with a dream of success. When he sees that the Japanese are enlisting Koreans for the military, Bae-Dal signs up. His perfects his training as a pilot, only to learn that he has been selected as a kamikaze pilot. Bae-Dal refuses, and is charged with treason.
Bae-Dal is thrown in prison, and narrowly escapes with his life to a small village. There, he meets a friend of his fathers, who is now a crippled old man. Bae-Dal pleads to be his student, and to learn martial arts. When the old man is killed by the local yakuza, Bae-Dal retreats to the mountains and begins self-training, with only one goal in mind - to dethrone every Japanese martial artist. |
